For Turbo, GT2 & GT2 RS
This set of stainless steel coolant lines replaces the weak, failure-prone original plastic units.
This item is considered a preventative measure and should be installed on all 997 Turbo (2007-2009), 997 GT2 (2008) and 997 GT2RS models.
This product addresses a known issue related to the plastic coolant manifolds leading to the two oil coolers (also known as heat exchangers). These pipes are originally made of plastic and have a very thin wall in the sealing area. The problem is that over time and mileage, the thin plastic wall breaks at the O-ring slot (its weakest and thinnest point), creating a crack. At some point the entire engine will need to be removed to replace a cheap plastic pipe. These two problems have also been observed on the 997 GT3 and GT3RS.
Assembly possible in our house for an additional charge! (Includes engine removal and parts disassembly)
During assembly, it is recommended to replace the water hoses and re-glue the aluminum connections of the water console as a composite work.
